How the Fertile Window is Estimated
The fertile window represents the days when conception is biologically possible. Sperm can survive inside the female reproductive tract for up to 5 days, while the egg remains viable for 12 to 24 hours after release. Thus, the 5 days leading to ovulation are fertile.
